Today is a snow day and we went outside to build a snowman. It started as a traditional snowman until I started carving away at it. Too bad it will probably melt away by the weekend, but I'd rather have the warm weather!

I've been crafting since the age of four when my Grandma taught me to sew while sitting on her "davenport". Since then I've always had something (or several things) going on, be it making my own barbie clothes, crocheting blankets for my dolls, sewing my sister's prom dress, to making my own bouquets for my wedding and quilting a baby blanket for our first child. I've done scrapbooking, sewing, quilting, embroidery, gallery glass painting, cake decorating, jewelry making, and pastel painting. When I picked up my first One Stroke paint brush in fall of 2006, it was like a fish taking to water. (OK, maybe more like the second class that it clicked so permanently!) I became a certified teacher in August, 2007, and have been teaching ever since. I am a busy mom with three young boys, but I always make time for my craft. It is my passion (and therapy) and I love sharing this joy of crafting with my students or adding just a little bit of beauty to the world through my creations!
