2014 Classes

My 2014 Spring/Summer Class Schedule  
I am offering some classes I've taught before.  If you've taken a particular class before and if there is space available, you can retake the class for $5.  I have pictures for most projects and will be adding the rest soon.

Series I:  Kit Classes
Each class cost $30 and you will paint a complete project during the class.  The surface is included in the cost of the class and you will receive a take-home painting worksheet packet.  Paint will also be provided.  You bring yourself, your brushes, a water basin, and a double loader.  You can request to use loaner equipment free of charge and just bring yourself!  You can pre-purchase a set number of classes, then choose which ones you want to take from the list at a later date.  You can change your individual class registration up to seven days before a class takes place.  Within seven days of the class you will be locked into the class.  If you can’t attend you will still receive the kit contents, the surfaces and worksheet packet.  Prepaid classes are transferable!  Can’t go?  Send a relative or a friend in your place!

There are six classes in this series and they will be held at my house in Cranberry TWP:

Series II:   Skill Building  
CANCELLED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION
This series is focused on the One Stroke painting technique for beginners (no prior painting experience necessary).  It is also a good review/back to basics class for more seasoned painters.  Painting will be done on wax paper for practice and a take home composition will be painted on cardstock.  The fundamentals will be reviewed in each class with emphasis on the three P’s of One Stroke Painting: Paint, Pressure, and Position.  These classes supplement the Skill Builder take home course books from Dewberry University.  (You don’t need them to take the class.)  You bring yourself, your brushes, a water basin, and a double loader.  

There are five classes in this series and they will be held at the Cranberry TWP Municipal Center on Tuesday mornings:

Series III:  wOil Painting
This isn't a series anymore, just one class this spring on oil painting with Martin F. Weber’s wOil paint.  I will provide the paint and you will bring your own canvas and brushes.  I am looking into holding this in the back room at Panera Bread but if that doesn’t work out they will be at my house in Cranberry TWP.

Series IV:  Intermediate Skill Building

Series V:  Canvas Classes
During each class in this canvas series you will complete a canvas painting.  I provide the paint and you bring your own canvas.  Canvases are available for purchase for $5 during class.  They will be held on Saturdays at my house in Cranberry TWP:

Series VI:   From Wildflowers to Roses
This series is focused on the One Stroke painting technique for beginners (no prior painting experience necessary).  It is also a good review/back to basics class for more seasoned painters.  A small canvas will be painted during each class starting with a simpler wildflower painting and increasing in difficulty each week. 

There are five classes in this series and they will be held at the Cranberry TWP Municipal Center on Wednesday mornings:
